Microsoft Worried About Malicious Ads

You wouldn't see a headline like the one below about Apple

"Stepping up an effort to unmask online attackers responsible for a wave of malicious advertisements aimed at Windows PC users"

Because if you have a Mac you don't have to worry about malicious anything.  But a good point is made later in the New York Times Bits Blog article - that all of the free stuff we love to use online like Facebook, Pandora, and Google Maps are ad driven.  So it's good that somebody is going after anyone defrauding the ad network. Even if I don't have to worry about contracting virus' or spyware from such ads, I'd still rather keep my favorite internet tools free.
